Report page size when printing

I use SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services. The clients use Internet Explorer 6 or higher on Windows XP.

When i access a report by ReportServer URL, the report viewer show me this report with my default parameters selected. If i choose "PDF" format and i click "Export", my report is perfect on printing.

My problem is the button print of the ReportViewer page, if i click on it, the printed report is very too large (on two page). I presume that some settings are wrong in my report, the maximum width of the content never exceed 31 cm, i want the report in LandScape.

There are my settings for this report :

InteractiveSize : 11in; 8,5in

Margins : 1,5cm; 1,5cm; 1,5cm; 1,5cm

PageSize : 35cm; 25cm

Where's the problem when i use the print button directly into the ReportViewer ? Internet Explorer ? The printer drivers or settings ? The report settings ?

Sorry for my english...

What happens when you set InteractiveWidth to 35cm and InteractiveHeight to 25cm? InteractiveHeight/Width are used to generate soft page breaks with HTML and Excel formats.|||Same problem, i have deleted the report before deploying again with the updated report (InteractiveWidth to 35cm and InteractiveHeight to 25cm) and the report stay on 2 page in width.|||At what width does the report break across pages? This usually happens when the report body width exceeds the page width minus (left and right margins).|||ok i will change the width and height of the page. It seem's to be 27.5 X 21.5 cm, so i will reduce the width and the content will fit on one page. Thanks.

Report Manager parameter area

Hi,
Is there any way to modify the size of the report parameters area?
ThanksYou could try modifying the html viewer style sheet. If you accepted
defaults during install it's at:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\ReportServer\styles

Report is rendered @ a smaller scale when printing from production

ISSUE: We have a report that prints at about 59% of normal size when printing
from production. Testing this report from the test server prints normally at
100%. Print Services and SQL servers have been rebooted, PrintService and
ReportServer stopped and restarted etc... What could cause this type of
behavior? Where should I begin to troubleshoot?On Sun, 3 Apr 2005 10:31:04 -0700, Jeremy

Jeremy,
It's possible that someone will be have directly experienced this and
can offer an instant solution.
It's not 100% clear to me whether the problem is confined to a single
report or not. If it is a single report then that report would be the
focus. If it happens to multiple reports then it is a different
situation.
If not, I would suggest that you describe in more detail the setup
that works as expected and, more importantly, the setup that doesn't
behave as expected.

Report header and footer size when using matrix

Hi,

Is there a way to dynamically make report header and footer fields change location (or size)? I have many matrix reports that grow in width and then the header and footers do not look good.

Another example is I have a line that is in the header...I would like this to grow to the width of the report, which again is not static on a matrix report.

Thanks.
I do not think dynamic sizing or relocating is a feature of SSRS 2005. If you explain your situation more explicitly then I might be able to offer a couple ideas for work-arounds.

report having larger width not printing

Hi,

I have one report with the page size of 17in, 8.5in. Exporting then printing PDF is working fine. But when I am printing directly from report, It is not printing. It is not saying any error. The popup box is coming and showing the message like printing. But it is not printing. I can't change the page size lesser than 17in.

Can you please give some idea for this issue?

Thanks,

Muniappan Kandasamy

You can keep the report body height as anything, it can be as long as you want but keep the interactive height of the report as 11'

A standard portrait style print is of size 8.5" x 11" keep this as the interactive size of your report.
