The language for browsing the report manager has suddenly switched from
french to english. Is there any way to switch it back to french?Vincent-
The language on Report Manager depends on 2 things. Frist is the languages
you have set in internet explorer on the client. Second is the languages
you have installed on the Report Server. The Report Manager will show in
the first language that you have specified for internet explorer and that
is also installed on the Report Server. Most likely you need to adjust your
internet explorer langauge options.

english in the HTML-Viewer. All other is displayed in german. After shutdown
the server, the HTML-Viewer-language is german. But one week later, the
HTML-Viewer changed to english.

have found of working around this is to reset the permissions for the
reportmanager\bin and reportserver\bin folders - we can't really be
restarting our production server whenever this bug rears its head. I'm not
sure why the permissions mess up but this is a BRUTAL bug as I have to do
this every few days.
Here is the procedure I follow to temproarily fix the language bug:
To fix Reports so they show up in correct language:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\ReportServer\bin
goto Properties |Security | Advanced
checkmark "Reset permissions on all child objects..."
click Apply | Yes | OK
To Fix Report Manager so the interface shows up in correct language:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\ReportManager\Bin
goto Properties | Security | Advanced
checkmark "Reset permissions on all child objects..."
click Ok | Yes | OK

Server tech would respond to this thread... even if it is to just confirm the
bug.
