I've installed Reporting Services twice now. At first the administrative menu
in report manager works when I log in with an administative account and I can
upload my .RDL files. However, the next day I log in with the same account
and the administrative toolbar is gone. When I re-install it works again then
stops working. I've tried creating another administrative account and tried
logging in with that, same deal.
I don't get it, it's probably an issue with the authentication/impersonation
routines or something, but this is messed up. I don't have this issue on
another server with the same installation (Server2003, SQL2000, Reporting
Services SP2).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.Ok, I figured it out. Apparently the option to enable anonymous user access
in IIS has to checked off in both the reports and reporting services
application pools. Idiotic, you would expect it only to be required under the
reports pool as it is the one used for the report manager interface.
