Report not printing
the print buttom on Report Manager, I get a printing dialog box for a long
time but nothing is printed (no error message neither). If I try the same
thing in another machine, it prints fine. I though about uninstalling and
reinstalling the client ActiveX, but don't know how to do it. Any suggestions,
Thanks,
Carmen. To uninstall the activex control, go to the tools menu in IE. Then go to
Internet Options->Settings->View Objects. Then delete the RSClientPrint
control.

Report Manager Unavailable
SQL 2k installed, running, Report Server databased got created.
No errors during installation but two odd issues came up.
First, we can access the reportserver page via http://localhost/reportserver
but Report Manager via http://localhost/reports errors with a 404
(with report manager color scheme). It does append the /pages/
folder.aspx to the typed address.
Event viewer does show an Report Manager Event 114 which appears to
equate to "Report Manager cannot connect to the ReportServer service"
checked and the SRS service is running.
Not sure what else to look for.
Second and maybe related: http://localhost/reportserver works but
http://servername/reportserver is not recognized - it goes to an under
construction page. The RSWebApplication.config file has
<ReportServerUrl>http://SERVERNAME/ReportServer</ReportServerUrl>
I can ping localhost, servername and IP address with success.
Have uninstalled SRS, removed databases and reinstalled same issues.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.Just in case it helps somebody down the road...
Problem was another website on the server using port 80. Change web
site report manager was using to a different port via IIS and it
worked.

Report Manager on 64 bit machine does not recognize 32 bit data sources
I'm a report developer who has created some reportsd against sybase data on another server. I am developing on a 64 bit Server 2003 box using SQL 2005 Reporting services. I hace created 32 bit ODBC data dsns using the supplied utitlity (odbcad32.exe). As I am creating the reports I can pull data using the data sources without a problem, however when I deploy my datasource and report to Report manager and run I get the following:
This has been driving me crazy for 2 days now. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Rick!
I use a 64-bit Windows Server 2003 Enterprise server also and connect to about seven different database types, although Sybase is not one of them. Have you installed SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2?
|||HI Chuck,
Thanks for the response. I have limited experience with server admin stuff. I was brought for my reporting experience more then anything else. As far as I can tell our build number is 2005.090.3042.00 which equates to the original version of SP2 on the build list.

Report manager HTTP status 400: Bad Request
I am having trouble to access Report Manager on a fresh SQL Reporting Services install on Win 2003, SQL 2000 SP3a machine. /ReportServer works fine, I've created a Virtual Directory /OnlineReports to allow anomynous access but /Reports doesn't work. So I can't add IUSR to the folder I need anomymous access on. Can somebody please help?
Thanks in advance.
Is Report Manager configured correctly? Can you look in RSWebApplication.config and see what ReportServerUrl is set to?|||Yes, here's what it shows <ReportServerUrl>http://www.domain.com/ReportServer</ReportServerUrl>
www.domain.com/ReportServer works but www.domain.com/Reports doesn't.
Thank you.
|||Well, now I have a different error. It said The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized when I go to www.domain.com/Reports. I log in as Administrator and it still said I am unauthorized. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall to get this working?
Thank you.
|||Add a DWORD entry called DisableLoopbackCheck toHKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa. Setting this key to a value of 1 fixed the issue.

Report Manager
I have developed couple of reports. I am using Sql Server 2000 as datasource
and which is at other machine and not on the development machine.
When I try to access report from my machine I can access the reports using
either http://mycomputerIP/Reports or http://mycomputerIp/RerportServer
I can access the reports.
When the other users try to access reports from their machine, I dont know
somehow they can not access the report using
http://mycomputerIP/Reports
User can see the consol but when they hit the report they gets the error of
page can not be displayed.
What could be the reason for this?
I am running sharepoint on my machine.
I would appreciate if someone could help me here.
Thanks
AmeetIf you have installed Rs on a machine with Sharepoint you must have theses
considerations.

to be succesfully, but i can't see/find the report manager. Everything else

Anyone?Hi Willem,
What are you calling Report Manager ? Is this http://localhost/reports ?
Have you looked at the Log Files ?
